CHRISTIANITY AND HOMOSEXUALITY     (Part One)
    Today’s Lesson
    Prayer Point - Pray that God will  deliver the nations of the world from the sin of homosexuality and lesbianism. 
    
Previous Knowledge -  Teacher asks students to mention what they benefited from the last Sunday  school lesson. Teacher examines the students'  workbooks and comments accordingly. 
    1. Opening 
    A.  BIBLE PASSAGE.  ROMANS 1: 21-28 
    B. Memory Verse - "And even as they  did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do  those things which are not convenient;" - Romans 1:28  
  C. Lesson Introduction -  Today, especially in the western world, homosexuals and lesbians have gained  substantial momentum. They have "come out" as the term goes, left  their closets. Through television, radio, newspapers, and magazines, they are  preaching their doctrine of tolerance, equality, justice, and love. They do not  want to be perceived as abnormal or dangerous. They want to be recognised and  accepted socially, politically etc. In this study, we shall examine the  biblical perspective and the Christian worldview as touching this subject  matter. A. Lesson Aim - To study the biblical stance on homosexuality.
B.  Teaching Objectives and Lesson Plan 
    At the end of the lesson, students should be able to  discover the societal attitude and the biblical position on homosexuality. 
    To achieve this objective, teacher asks students to  explain what homosexuality and lesbianism are. Teacher makes contributions too. 
    Teacher explains some activities of the homosexual in our  society. Teacher cautions students about homosexuality, using the scriptures as  guide. Teacher concludes by encouraging students to keep God's 
    
C.  Text Review - ROMANS 1:21-28 
    The  following behaviours explain the characters of people who claim to know God but  in actual sense are far from Him (God). 
    i.  They do not glorify God. V.21 
    ii.  They do not thank Him. V.21 
    iii.  They are vain in their imaginations. V.21
    iv. Their foolish heart is darkened. V21 
    v.  They are fools though they think they are wise. V.22 
    vi. They  worship idols instead of God. V.23 
    vii.  They are unclean and lustful in heart. V.24 
    viii.  They dishonor their bodies. V.24 
    ix.  They attempt to turn the truth to lies. 
    x.  Women commit lesbianism. V. 26 
    xi.  Men commit homosexuality. V.27 
    xii.  They became reprobate. 
D. Teaching Method - Teacher should use discussion method.

2. Lesson  Outlines 
    i.  LESSON OUTLINE 1 - WHAT IS HOMOSEXUALITY 
    i.  Homosexuality is having sex with people of the same sex. 
    ii.  Lesbianism is female having sex with female. 
    iii.  It is naturally not convenient for male to have sex with male or female with  female. 
    iv.  Paedophilia is perverted sexual attraction towards children.
    v. Bestiality is abnormal sexual relationship  with animals. 
    vi.  God forbids all perverted sexual relationships. Romans 1:32 
    
II.  LESSON OUTLINE 2 - SOCIETALATTITUDE 
    i. Those  who support homosexuality want legal protection for the ungodly act. 
    ii.  They want their views taught in the schools. 
    iii. They present their illicit sex desires  in literature and electronic media. 
iv.  They exist as individuals, clubs and worst, as churches. 
    v. They  consider those who oppose their views as being discriminatory and threaten  legal action. 
    vi. They use their money, intellect, power  and position to fight God's word and invariably to fight God Himself. Romans 1:  18 
  CAUTION - Turn away from such  because God's wrath is imminent on them. Romans 1:18 
  III.  LESSON OUTLINE 3 - WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY? 
    i.  God forbids it. Leviticus 18:22 
    ii.  God considers it as abomination. Leviticus 18:22 
    iii.  God pronounces them guilty. Their blood shall be upon them" 
    iv.  God pronounces death sentence on the perpetrators. Lev. 20:13 v. God banishes  them from the Kingdom of Heaven.I Cor. 6:9-10
    vi. God gave them up unto vile affections.  Rom. 1:26 
    vii.  God gave them to reprobate mind. Romans 1:28 
  
Class  Activity 2 - Find out the behaviours of people who actually do not,  know God from Romans 1 :21-28 
    
Summary: God  forbids sexual perversion in all its ramification. 
    
  Conclusion: The  Bible surely has crystal clear statements against homosexuality. Hence, it is  difficult to see how different groups can say the Bible supports homosexuality.  However, they try by redefining love, marriage, sex, homosexuality, etc. in  order to accomplish their goals. The truth is that God created man and woman,  not man and man or woman and woman.

Previous Knowledge -  Teacher asks students to review the previous week's lesson. Teacher examines  the students' workbooks and makes necessary corrections. 
    1. Opening 
A. BIBLE PASSAGE - ROMANS 1: 21-28
B. Memory Verse "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;" Ephesians 4:22
C. Lesson Introduction - So far, we have discussed what homosexuality really is, societal attitude and what the Bible says about it. Today, we shall be examining the dangers involved in homosexuality, Christian's response to the homosexual and homosexual marriages.
A. Lesson Aim - To study further on homosexuality
B. Teaching Objectives and Lesson Plan
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to: 
    i.  Discover the danger involved in homosexuality. 
    ii.  Understand Christian attitudes to  homosexuality. 
    iii. Understand the stand of the Church on homosexuality. 
    To achieve these objectives, the teacher explains some  inherent dangers in homosexual. Teacher also explains Christians attitudes to  homosexual and explains the expected role of the church on homosexuality.  Teacher concludes by encouraging Christian's to preach Christ to homosexual  rather than condemnation. 
    
C. Text Review - Romans 1:21-28 
    When God gives over a person to a reprobate mind, the  following will take over the person's life. 
    i. Doing those things which are not convenient. 
    ii. Filling with all unrighteousness which is sin (other  sins were mentioned in Romans 1 :29-31). 
    iii. God's judgement will be imminent in the lives of  such a person. 
    iv. Those who show pleasure in the doer of such  unrighteousness will share in their judgement.

2. Lesson Outlines
i. LESSON OUTLINE 1 - THE DANGER INVOLVED 
    Homosexuality attracts God's judgement. Such judgement  includes: 
    i. Doing what is not becoming, indecorous and shameful.  Romans 1:26-28 
    ii. Their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their  sins. 
    iii. They do not feel remorse for doing wrong things or  committing error- 
    Proverbs 10: 17; Hebrews 3:7 -10 
    iv. They may be living an unrepentant life. 2 Cor.4:3-4 
    v. They may be unable to obtain forgiveness. Act. 8:22 
    vi. They cannot obtain salvation in such state. Hebrews  2:3; Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Romans 10:10 
Class Activity 1 - Discuss caution which  should be taken when showing love to homosexuals. 
    II. LESSON OUTLINE 2 - CHRISTIAN'S RESPONSE TO THE  HOMOSEXUAL 
    I. Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean  that we cannot love him (or her)or pray for them-Lev.19:18, 1 Tim.1:5. 
    II.    Homosexuality is a sin and like any other  sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible- Rom.13:9. 
    III. It needs to be laid at the cross and repented of- Rom.6:6,  Eph.4:22. 
    IV. Christians should pray for the salvation of the homosexual- James 5: 16, 1 Kings 13:6. 
    V.  Homosexuals  should be treated with dignity as they are made in the image of God- Gen.1:26-27. 
    VI. However, this does not mean that Christians should  approve of their sin. 
    VII. Christians should not compromise their witness for a  politically correct opinion that is shaped by guilt and fear - Col. 4:5-6. 
  II. LESSON OUTLINE 3. SHOULD HOMOSEXUALS BE ALLOWED TO  MARRY ONE ANOTHER? 
    i.  The biblical truth is no. Leviticus 18:22; 20:13. 
    ii.  Christians should be prayerful for homes,  families, churches, nations of the world. I Peter5:8-9. 
  Class Activity 2- List any other four things which the church can do to  rescue our society from the sin of homosexuality. 
Summary: Homosexuality is sin and must be avoided. 
    
Conclusion: Homosexuals should be shown the love of Christ and should  be restored to God's society to escape divine judgement.
